Built for the Friends
Who Plan the Fun
MysteryPartyNow is an AI-powered murder mystery party platform that lets anyone host an unforgettable whodunit in under a minute. No printing, no app downloads, no reading from a script. Just real suspense, real accusations, and a room full of suspects.
The Problem
Traditional Murder Mystery Kits Were Designed for a Different Era
If you have ever tried hosting a boxed murder mystery party, you know the drill: print thirty pages of character sheets, spend an hour cutting and sorting clue envelopes, assign characters days in advance, and pray nobody cancels. When someone inevitably arrives late or leaves early, the whole plot falls apart because the clues were written for an exact number of players.
Worse, once the group has played it once, the kit is dead. The killer is known. The clues are memorized. You spent $30 on a one-shot experience that required more preparation than the party itself.
We built MysteryPartyNow because we were those hosts. We loved the idea of murder mystery parties but hated everything about actually running one. So we asked a simple question: what if the technology handled the hard parts and let the host just play?
The Solution
AI That Runs the Mystery So You Can Play In It
Unique clues every single game
The AI generates fresh clues each time a game is started. Even if two groups play the same scenario, their experience will be different. No spoilers, no repeats.
Adapts when life happens
Someone shows up 20 minutes late? A guest has to leave? The AI redistributes clues and reassigns motives in real time. The mystery stays solvable no matter what.
No app, no printing, no setup
Guests scan a QR code or type a short join code on their phone. Within seconds they have a character, a backstory, and their first clue. That is the entire setup.
The host is a character too
Because the AI manages the truth, the host gets to play a role, make accusations, and lie to their friends. No one is stuck reading stage directions aloud.
How It Works
Three Steps. Sixty Seconds. One Murder.
Hosting a murder mystery party on MysteryPartyNow takes less time than ordering pizza.
Pick a scenario from the library
Choose from original mysteries spanning 1920s galas, gothic manors, modern heists, and more. The AI automatically scales characters and clues to your group size (4 to 24 players).
Share the QR code with your guests
Every game gets a unique join code. Guests scan the QR or enter the code on their phone. No app download, no account creation. They are playing in seconds.
Play the game while the AI runs the story
Advance through investigation rounds, distribute hints, and watch your friends spiral into accusations. At the end, the AI evaluates every accusation and reveals the truth.
How the Game Works
An in-person murder mystery, redesigned around the phone in your guest’s hand
Every guest gets a character, a private clue feed, and a secret motive. The host runs the investigation from their phone. Players accuse each other in person. The AI scores the final reveal on method and motive.
Each game runs 60 to 90 minutes. The AI generates fresh clues per session, so two groups playing the same scenario will not see the same evidence chain. When a guest arrives late or leaves early, the AI redistributes their clues so the mystery stays solvable. The host plays a character too — they do not read stage directions.
Pick a scenario from the marketplace, share a QR code with your guests, and play. That is the entire setup.
Who Built This
MysteryPartyNow is built and operated by NaN Logic LLC
MysteryPartyNow is a product of NaN Logic LLC, an Illinois limited liability company. The platform launched publicly in 2026 after a private beta with friends, family, and a handful of office groups who were tired of paying $30 for one-shot mystery kits that fell apart the moment a guest cancelled. The first paying users came in March 2026 and the platform has been adding new hosts and creators every week since.
The team behind MysteryPartyNow has been hosting murder mystery parties for over a decade — long enough to know exactly which parts of a boxed kit are fun (the suspicion, the accusations, the reveal) and which parts are work (printing clue envelopes, memorizing a script, herding eight people through phase transitions while pretending to play a character). The product exists to delete the work and amplify the fun.
The platform is built on Next.js and Supabase, runs on Vercel, and uses OpenAI models for clue generation, character scaling, and accusation scoring. All AI calls are logged and audited. No guest personal data is sold or shared with third parties beyond the strict minimum required to run a session (see the Privacy Policy for the full breakdown).
