Legal
Content Policy
Last updated 2026-04-23
MysteryPartyNow hosts user-authored mystery scripts. We accept a wide range of tones — comedic, dark, serious, campy — as long as the content respects the rules below.
What we prohibit
- Hate speech. Content that dehumanizes people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
- Sexual content involving minors. Any depiction of minors in a sexual context is prohibited, no exceptions.
- Real-person defamation. Scripts that name or clearly depict living public figures as criminals, abusers, or in other defamatory scenarios. Historical figures dead >70 years may be used with care.
- Copyrighted IP. No unlicensed use of characters, settings, or plot elements from existing works (no “Breaking Bad mystery,” no Marvel characters, etc.). Fair-use pastiche is fine; direct knock-offs are not.
- Detailed instructions for real-world violence. Fictional murder as plot device is fine; step-by-step how-to guides for bomb-making, weapon fabrication, or poisoning are not.
- Content involving non-consensual sexual acts as entertainment. References to assault as background lore are acceptable when handled with gravity; rape as a gameplay element is not.
What we allow
- Murder, blackmail, theft, drug dealing, and other standard mystery plot devices.
- Dark humor, gallows humor, morbid themes handled with intent.
- References to real events (wars, scandals, crimes) as setting or backdrop.
- Stylized violence consistent with the mystery genre.
- Complex morality, unreliable narrators, ambiguous villains.
Enforcement
Admins review every script before it goes public. We may reject scripts at submission, or delist scripts already public, for any violation above. Creators receive a message explaining the decision and can revise and resubmit.
For immediate violations (hate speech, CSAM, direct incitement), the script is removed and the account may be suspended. Earnings from legitimate sessions run before the violation are still paid out.
Reporting
If you believe a public script violates this policy, email trust@nanlogic.com with the scenario title and a brief description. We investigate every report.
AI-generated content
MysteryPartyNow uses AI to generate clues, adapt character details, and narrate jubensha sessions. AI output is bounded by the script creator's inputs and by the policy above. Our AI auditor rejects generations that violate the prohibitions. If you encounter AI output you believe violates the policy, report it via trust@nanlogic.com.
